Seamless Knitting
Seamless knitting means knitting a garment in one piece in the round, without sewing pieces together afterward, as with raglan or top-down sweaters.
Explanation
Seamless knitting means knitting an entire garment, or as much of it as possible, in one continuous piece on circular needles, rather than knitting separate pieces that are sewn together afterward. Raglan, top-down construction, and the contiguous method are all popular ways to achieve seamless knitting. The benefits are less finishing work, smoother transitions between sections, and the ability to try the garment on as you go. Some knitters still prefer seams, though, since they can add structure to a garment and prevent it from stretching out of shape.
