Top-Down Knitting
Top-down knitting is a construction method where a sweater is knitted from the neckline downward, allowing you to try it on as you go and knit seamlessly.
Explanation
In top-down knitting, you start at the neckline and knit downward toward the sleeves and hem, opposite to the traditional bottom-up method. The construction suits raglan, the contiguous method, and seamless circular knitting particularly well, since there is no need to sew pieces together afterward. A major advantage is being able to try the garment on as you go and adjust sleeve and body length before binding off, making it easier to fine-tune the fit without calculating everything in advance.
