Why use a digital row counter?
This interactive checklist and counter is ideal for both simple projects and complex pattern charts where remembering shaping rows is critical to success.
- Quick counting: Tap anywhere on the counter dial with instant visual feedback.
- Repeat tracking: Configure pattern repeat lengths and track full pattern repeats automatically.
- Safe local storage: Your counts and notes stay saved on your device without requiring an account.
You can use the checklist tab as a step-by-step master plan for your entire project, from cast-on to bind-off!
What does a row counter do?
A row counter helps you keep track of completed rounds or rows in your knitting project, ensuring you stay synced with your pattern instructions without losing count.
How does this row counter differ from a standard tally counter?
In addition to counting rows, it offers an interactive checklist where you can set custom notes and reminders for specific rows (e.g. 'Increase 1 stitch at each edge on row 10').
Will my count and checklist be lost if I close the page?
No. Your progress is saved automatically to your device's browser (localStorage). You can close the tab or disconnect from the internet and return right where you left off.
Can I manage multiple project counters at the same time?
For managing multiple ongoing projects with dedicated counters and photos, we recommend using our Knitting Journal tool.
